Shipping Costs

General Shipping:

FREE shipping applies to all fabric, soft furnishing, accessories, custom curtains, blinds and cushion orders over $250 with delivery Australia-wide (excludes curtain rods and tracks)

For orders under $250, the following shipping rates apply:

  • Custom curtains and blinds – $35 flat rate delivery Australia-wide
  • Fabric and curtain hardware accessories – $15 flat rate delivery Australia-wide

Decorators Market’s FREE shipping policy only applies to orders shipped to street addresses within Australia and in accordance with our standard shipping practices.

Curtain Rods & Tracks:

Shipping costs for all curtain rods and tracks are based on the following flat rates Australia-wide:

  • 1m – 2m lengths: $15 flat rate delivery Australia-wide
  • 3m – 4m lengths: $45 flat rate delivery Australia-wide

Unfortunately we are unable to offer free shipping on curtain rods and tracks due to their bulky size and length, and the costs associated with shipping them Australia-wide.

Non-Standard Shipping:

Non-standard shipping arrangements may incur additional fees and will be quoted for separately.  These include:

  • Overseas shipping requirements
  • Custom-quotes for curtains rods or tracks more than 400cm that are requested to be shipped as a single length
  • Shipping for curtains tracks with bends (custom order)
  • Shipping to PO Boxes, particularly orders that are more than 3kg and/or longer than 2m in length

Estimated Shipping Lead Times

The following shipping times are based on a standard order and may vary depending on the availability and location of the stock being held. Please contact Decorators Market prior to placing your order if you require a more detailed information regarding an estimated time of delivery for your order.

All Designer Curtains and Roman Blinds (excludes Express Curtains and Ready-to-Hang Curtains)

  • Please allow 4-6 weeks total turn around for our Designer Curtain and Roman Blind Ranges which are made in Australia by our professional workrooms with the highest level of care and craftsmanship.  This overall lead time takes in to account the standard amount of time it takes for your fabric to be shipped to the workroom, scheduled in to the production queue, manufactured, meticulously packaged and delivered to your door ready to hang!
  • Please note, your order is not scheduled in to the production queue until all fabric is received by the workroom.  Stock availability and location will dictate the length of time it takes for your fabric to arrive at workroom.  Decorators Market recommends getting a stock check immediately prior to placing your order so we can better assist at providing you with an accurate lead time.
  • During peak periods such as November -December, extended lead times may occur.  Please make special note of our pre-Christmas cut off dates.

Roller Blinds and all Custom Express Range Curtains:

  • Decorators Market is proud to offer 10 day dispatch on all roller blinds and Express Range Curtains.  This time frame is expressed in working days.
  • Please allow additional time for shipping to your location.
  • During peak periods such as November -December, extended lead times may occur.

Fabric Orders and Ready-to-Hang Curtains:

  • Fabrics which are in stock and warehoused in Australia are usually dispatched from Sydney within 3-7 working days.
  • Some overseas brands do not carry stock in Australia and your fabric will need to be imported.  Dispatch from Sydney in this case usually occurs within 14 working days.
  • Please allow additional time for shipping to your location.
  • During peak periods such as November -December, extended lead times may occur.

Curtain Hardware and Accessories:

  • Curtain Hardware is dispatched from Sydney twice weekly.  Dispatch usually takes 3-5 working days from the date of your order.
  • Please allow additional time for delivery to your location.
  • During peak periods such as November -December, extended lead times may occur.

Shipping Methods

Decorators Market may deliver the products via a range of delivery methods, including courier or Australia Post. We reserve the right to choose the most appropriate method of delivery for the goods.

We can not guarantee delivery to PO Boxes due to the size and weight limitations of Australia Post.  A Decorators Market representative will contact you in advance if shipping to a PO Box presents a problem on your order.


When you’re in the business of shipping custom-made products nationally and internationally, no two orders are the same in our packaging department!  For this reason Decorators Market have invested heavily in a huge range of packaging supplies to ensure that your order is custom packaged professionally and appropriately so that it arrives to your door in mint condition!

ALL of our products are double wrapped.  That means they are wrapped and sealed in heavy-duty plastic first and then boxed in a quality carton OR wrapped in a second layer of protective plastic.

Where possible, we ship fabric on the roll.  Fabric orders under 7m may be shipped folded.

Unattended Goods and Authority To Leave

It is up to the customer to ensure there is someone available at the specified shipping address to receive the goods.

Customers may specify during the checkout process if they would like the goods left unattended if no-one is able to take delivery of them. They may also specify where they would like the goods left at the shipping address. Please note that Decorators Market does not accept responsibility for any loss or damage of the goods while left unattended at the specified shipping address.

If the customer chooses for the goods not to be left unattended, and if no-one is available to take delivery of them, Decorators Market will not be responsible for any additional Depot or re-delivery charges that may apply to ship the goods again.

International Shipping

Please contact Decorators Market if you require the good to be shipped to a location outside Australia. Goods being shipped overseas are not included within our free shipping policy and additional shipping costs will apply.
